However, with the help of public and private funding, North Side Housing and Supportive Services is working hard along with other agencies to eradicate this blight from our community, city and nation. We depend on your individual support to help us provide housing and supportive services for men who are homeless, ages 18 years and older in Chicago.

Ways You Can Help Our Chicago Emergency Shelter for Men Who Are Homeless
 
Volunteer: There are many benefits to being a volunteer at our shelter for men who are homeless in Chicago . One of the biggest rewards of volunteering can be making a real difference in the lives of others. A certain sense of pride goes along with serving a cause greater than our own self interests. We need people who can chip in and answer phones, cook meals, provide computer training, and help clients create resumes.  If you are interested in volunteering, please give us a call or email volunteer@northsidehousing.org .
 
Donations: If you’re looking for a good social cause to make donations, our agency would greatly appreciate the help. Our services rely heavily on donations from people like you . Your contributions go along way in assisting the men we serve.
The following is a wish list of donations our Chicago Homeless Shelter could really use:
  • Clothing-including socks, pants, underwear and shirts
  • Toiletries
  • Blankets, Sheets, Bed Linens
  • Computers(To be used to help our clients find housing and jobs)
  • Cleaning Supplies

Financial Donation: With deep cuts in federal and state spending for social services, assisting men in Chicago who are homeless can be a challenging endeavour. Our emergency shelter and other programs are delivered with the help of people like you. You can be sure that every penny you give will serve a true need.
